Main field: marine biogeochemical modelling, non-Redfield processes, marine nitrogen cycle, model uncertainty

My research interests lie in marine biogeochemistry. I use laboratory and field experiments, as well as modeling tools, to study the processes and feedbacks in the marine and Earth systems. I am particularly interested in the variability of elemental composition—carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus—in phytoplankton, and its implications for the carbon and nutrient cycles. Additionally, I am eager to understand the fate of our oceans and climate in the Anthropocene.

我的研究領域為海洋生物地球化學。我的主要研究興趣為瞭解海洋微藻的元素組成變化，以及其在海洋元素循環及地球氣候系統中的角色。我的研究工具包含了數值模擬以及實驗室與現地的實驗。

Hey, I’m Yi Chen, currently studying at National Taiwan University as master’s student, focusing on marine chemistry. My research looks at how adding alkaline materials to seawater affects total alkalinity (TA) and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), and what that means for the ocean carbon cycle. Through my work, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of carbon sequestration in marine environments.

我是陳毅，目前是台大海洋研究所碩士二年級，研究主題跟海洋化學有關。我的研究主題是在看如果往海水裡加鹼性材料，總鹼度（TA）跟溶解無機碳（DIC）的變化，還有這對海洋碳循環可能帶來的影響。希望透過這些研究，能對海洋碳封存有更多了解。

I am Shun-Kai Chang. My master's research focuses on studying algae of different sizes to explore their responses to subsistence nitrogen quotas. Additionally, I have extensive experience and expertise in nutrient analysis. My hobbies include traveling and listening to music.

我是張舜凱，我的碩士研究專注於以不同尺寸的藻類作為研究對象，探索其對 subsistence nitrogen quotas 的反應與影響。此外，我在營養鹽分析方面有豐富的經驗與專業知識，興趣為旅遊以及聽音樂。​

I am Chia-Hsuan Hsu. My current research mainly focuses on the subsistence phosphorus quota of algae of different sizes, and the impacts and responses resulting from these differences. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and reading, which allow me to relax and learn new things.​

我是許家瑄，目前的研究主要關注不同尺寸藻類的最低磷需求量（subsistence phosphorus quota），以及這些差異會帶來什麼影響和反應。平時我喜歡旅行和看書，讓自己放鬆又能學到新東西。

I am currently studying the C:N:P stoichiometry of phytoplankton in natural environments. Outside of research, I enjoy fitness training and scuba diving.

我目前專注於研究野外藻類的體內 C:N:P 化學計量比。我的興趣是健身與潛水。

Mainly responsible for algae cultivation experiments and measuring relevant parameters needed for the experiments, such as nutrients, POC, PON, etc.; also assisting with tasks needed in the laboratory.

I enjoy various water activities in my free time, and recently I’ve been learning surfing and diving.

 

主要負責藻類培養實驗，及測量實驗所需相關參數，如營養鹽、POC、PON等；並協助實驗室相關事務。

平日喜歡各項水上活動及曬太陽，最近正在學習衝浪、潛水。

I-Jy assists in handling the administrative tasks of the laboratory, including the application for related materials and document submission. She is always dedicated, paying close attention to every detail, and is able to quickly learn and solve various problems. She is a reliable partner.
